VIDEO: High-Voltage Fragmentation: A New Approach to Recycling Composites

Marco Diani, Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, is advancing research on the optimisation of mechanical recycling of composites and their reintroduction into high-value applications.

As part of the RECREATE project, his team is developing a novel process called high-voltage fragmentation (electro-fragmentation). This innovative approach enables the liberation and recovery of carbon- and glass-fibre reinforced composites with improved properties compared to conventional recycling methods.

Learn more about the technology by watching the video of his presentation.
