Our initiative is pioneering sustainable solutions for composite materials and showcasing it through nine demo cases across various industries. These cases aim to demonstrate the feasibility of recycling and reusing end-of-life (EoL) composite materials, such as carbon and glass fiber-reinforced composites, in high-value applications. By addressing 70% of composite consumption sectors in the EU, the project showcases innovative approaches to circular economy practices in industries like wind energy, aeronautics, automotive, transportation, and consumer goods
Each demo case focuses on specific applications, such as reusing EoL composite panels from aircraft interiors to improve the sustainability of future cabin components . Through these demonstrations, RECREATE aims to validate the technical and economic viability of composite recycling, potentially leading to significant cost savings and environmental benefits across the targeted industries.
